Whin Lizzie pat da coo This film is very special. My neighbour, Evelyn Mail, took me aside one day and told me a family tale of her sister-in-law, Lizzie, walking a cow twelve miles or so down the road, from Mid Walls, to it's new owner in Culswick. It is lovely glimpse into Shetland life of fifty years ago. The traditional tune 'Doon da Rooth' and Jim Leask's original 'Gracie' weave musical magic through the tale. |
